Putting away the goods
Today was cheat day, and it was great. mmm.
Luke’s been helping me all day to figure out the best ways to get through today, starting with our normal breakfast of eggs, beans, a ton of spinach (I don’t think I’ve been eating enough greens in the past couple days) and steamed carrots. We’ve been taking AG (no green tea yet as we haven’t been able to find it in our store) before our meals today and will be continuing that. Luke’s been doing squats and other muscle building exercises before he eats INCLUDING doing squats in the middle of SuperStore with his very full shopping baskets… we got some interesting looks. lol. I haven’t started doing that, but now that I’ve read/listened to a bit more about why Tim is putting these kind of routines on cheat day I think it’s something I’m going to incorporate next week.
I am an avid musician and today was a very abrupt wake-up call to how little I can create when eating starches and sugars. I’m more inclined to throw a hissy-fit rather than make music. I’m hoping that this diet is going to enable me to have the mental ability to write the way I could a couple years ago! I’ll remember from now on that Saturday is not a creating day unless I want incredibly depressing songs.
Today consisted of:
1 cinnamon bun (a must)
1 box of smarties1/2 bag of sour patch kids1/2 box of pringles
2 blueberry bagels
1 – 2-cheeseburger meal with fries and coke
1 Vanilla Latte from Starbucks
2 pieces of home-made chocolate brownie
2 lemon waters
a LOT of water
4 jolly rancher candies
I don’t think I’ve forgotten anything. God, reading that list is horrible! haha.
So now I’m putting the starches and sugars back into the forbidden cabinet and REALLY looking forward to eating some of the mass amount of beans we bought! I love this day… (and I never thought I’d say this)… but, I love coming off this day even more.
