Mistakes in nutrition – preventing more lost gains

Not content with the fat gains from Occam's Protocol, I went on a mission to find a better nutritional option. A few hurdles later, I have a better view of how this nutritional decision affected my progress. Continue reading

3 Reasons Before and After Photos can slow fat loss

Here's a controversial question: If you took a 'before' photo, or if you have a good reference, and you are taking progress photos, or comparing your current state to your reference picture, is it truly helping you gauge your progress and reach your goals? I know a lot of people love checking their before and afters as they go, but there's a few reasons why this could actually be holding you back from reaching your goal. Continue reading

LOMAD – Occam’s Protocol – does it work?

I wrote recently about things seeming to stop moving upwards, for a week or so, and so I set out to tackle this problem with a few solutions. The most obvious change was adding milk to my protein shakes, and adding an extra protein shake per day, for a total of 2-3 drinks on non-workout days, and 3 on workout days. This worked out to a total of around 1 liter of milk per day, or LOMAD. So, how are my results, after a little over a week of this strategy? Continue reading

Better PAGG Stack now available

Some people may already know that both Kat and I are taking the PAGG stack, and have been doing for over a month now. Our results have been good - I'm gaining muscle without gaining fat along with it, and Kat's been enjoying some nice recomposition, as she adds muscle from yoga and kettlebell workouts. We were interested to hear from our nutrition company that they were working on a new version of the PAGG formula. 'But, surely what's in the book is the best it gets?' was what I first thought. It turns out sometimes I should speak after I've done some learning. Continue reading
